Basha is an unusual clay artist who uses no wheel but builds with 25 lb
slabs of clay, torn apart, textured and returned into shapes. She
creates functional pieces as well as sculptured whimsical pottery with a
sense of humor. These museum quality pieces are both artistic and
She enjoys creating textures in clay and feels that her hands and the
clay will tell her just what to create. Clay can be challenging and
satisfying at the same time. Thus, clay is merely a vehicle for
expressing what she feels.
All of her work is inspired by nature. With use of different glazes,
textures and shapes, she gives a rather unique style that says “touch
me” to all her pieces of work.
Before moving to Florida full time, she lived on Cape Cod with her
husband where she was represented in galleries and the Dennis Fine Arts
